January 14, 2018 Comment 0 Where to Celebrate Vegan Burns Night in Glasgow in 2018 When it comes to Burns Night, it can be hard to even imagine being included as a vegan. Yes, there is vegan haggis available more or less at any supermarket, but meat is so much part of this annual Scottish tradition, that many restaurants will not be able to accommodate vegans in the same way as their omni customers. There are many different ways to celebrate Burns Night, varying from more traditional events with poem recitations and bagpipe music, to alternative stagings with different approaches towards Burns' poetry and songs, to those that simply concentrate on the food without any frills. One thing is for sure though, a real Burns Supper needs some haggis - and that wants to be properly addressed! Luckily, there are a few events that make it possible to celebrate vegan Burns Night in Glasgow. Below you can find a few options to choose from. If you know of any more vegan Burns events in Glasgow, get in touch, and I'll add them to the list!
