December 13, 2017 Comment 0 Picnic Picnic is located in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, perfect for a healthy vegan lunch when you’re out shopping or sightseeing. All food is 100% vegan and prepared fresh in the cafe every day. A visit at Picnic is like an instant boost of vitamins and nutrients. The food is fresh, homemade, wholesome and – of course – delicious. The menu is quite big, beginning with rich smoothies and fresh juices; several hot dishes, like a black rice, kale and basil burger, baked potato with different toppings or the curry of the day; various wraps, bagels and sandwiches; breakfast items including a full cooked breakfast and a variety of cakes and desserts. What I like best though are the creative salad bowls! All food and drinks are also available for takeaway. Budget: Mains are between £5.50 and £7.50, the full breakfast costs £9. Smoothies are £4.50 and cakes cost around £3. I’ve tried all sorts of dishes at Picnic, but the Pastramheat sandwich with sauerkraut is a definite favourite of mine; and so is the raw pad thai salad bowl! Picnic is bright and flooded with natural light; the interior welcoming and stylish – perfect for a wee Instagram lunch that eve your omni-friends will love!
